IDL recently completed the replacement of two SCC WE combi ovens aboard the Mariner A platform with new Rational iCombi Pro ovens. The original SCC WE models, Rational’s previous generation of combi ovens, had been in continuous use for over nine years, operating 24 hours a day in the demanding marine environment, and had served the platform exceptionally well.
To improve maintenance efficiency and reduce downtime, we installed the new 10-grid oven on a mobile stand. This change addresses the previous issue where the wall-fixed oven stands made servicing the right-hand oven impossible without removing the left-hand unit, resulting in both ovens being out of operation simultaneously. The mobile stand now allows independent servicing, ensuring continuous kitchen operation and enhanced reliability for the platform’s catering team. Get in touch to see how we can help you too.
