IDL recently concluded a comprehensive bistro refurbishment at the Smedley Hydro Passport Office in Southport, demonstrating our expertise in handling sensitive government sector projects. Working alongside ESS, our team navigated the unique challenges presented by this high-security environment, where engineers required constant escorts throughout the renovation process.
The turnkey project involved a complete transformation of the existing bistro facilities. IDL began by stripping out outdated catering appliances and food service counters before installing new electrical and water services throughout the space. A highlight of the renovation included the installation of bespoke elements manufactured by Proline – a custom-designed food service counter and an elegant coffee and merchandising station featuring specialised joinery work.
Beyond the catering equipment installation, IDL enhanced the bistro’s aesthetics by laying fresh white vinyl flooring in the seating area and completely redecorating the space. The final phase saw our team installing the new cook line beneath the existing extraction canopy, creating an efficient and modern food preparation area.
