The Corner Hub: The Final Result

IDL returned to The Corner Hub, Huddersfield this week to finish the instillation of their new commercial kitchen (see our previous updates here)

Our design team had to be imaginative with the limited space The Corner Hub had available. The original area consisted of a small, redundant kitchen and a male and female toilet block.

By removing the wall between the two toilet blocks, this provided us with two clear areas. One half was designed to be the food preparation, cooking and serving area while the second half was allocated for storage and warewashing.

The service area had insufficient working surface available, therefore we cladded the deep windowsills in stainless steel to provide more working area. We also manufactured a bespoke frame to support the microwave from a floor cupboard, this saved much needed valuable working surface.

Our scope of works included the supply and installation of Lincat fume extraction units, hob and oven, griddle, tabletop fryer, bespoke stainless steel fabrication by our fabrication partner ML stainless, a Maidaid dishwasher and Mechline pre-rinse spray.

We wish The Corner Hub the best of luck in their work in their new kitchen.
