Dunwood Park, Shaw
IDL are delighted to be a part of the renovations for Dunwood Park café, in Oldham. We installed their new commercial kitchen ready for their grand reopening this month.
We supplied a Lincat electric range and fryer alongside a Foster under counter fridge and freezer. With a new dishwasher and plenty of stainless steel workbenches, all their modest space was utilized.
The café is located in the McGrother Community building, which had previously been Pure Coffee. The café was a much beloved part of the park with many loyal customers that walk through the park ending their day with a warm hot chocolate in the café. Dunwood Park’s café was forced to close in March due to post covid staffing shortages. The local community feared it would lie empty.
Our friends at Woodlands at The Willows, whom we have worked with before, jumped at the chance to bring the café back to locals who missed it most. They will be opening just in time for pumpkin carving at the café with a beautiful autumnal view across the Beal Valley and Crompton Moor.
As the original café supported the community so too will Woodlands. They hope to be able to involve local schools in Dunwood Café, giving the students work experience opportunities as they do at The Willows, to much success.
